Theater Instructor (Part-Time, After School)
Boonton, NJ
Part-Time | 2–3 Days/Week | After-School Hours (5:00–8:00 PM)

About Us:
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts accessible for children of all ages and abilities. Through theater, music, and visual arts, we foster creativity, confidence, and community at a low cost to families.
We're currently seeking a Theater Instructor who loves working with kids and is excited to inspire the next generation of performers. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being part of every aspect of a creative program — from directing performances to simple choreography and event support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging theater workshops for children ages 5–14
- Teach performance skills: acting, stage presence, character building
- Plan and direct student showcases
- Develop creative, age-appropriate lesson plans
- Support with choreography, costumes, and props
- Help with backstage and set-up during events
- Create a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment
- Assist with occasional fundraising events and family activities
Qualifications:
- Must love working with children!
- Background in theater, performing arts, or education preferred
- Energetic, reliable, and ready to be hands-on
- Great opportunity for college students or recent graduates
- Experience working with kids is a plus but not required
Schedule:
- 2–3 days per week
- After-school hours: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Flexible weekday scheduling (Monday–Friday)
- Occasional Saturdays a plus, but not required
