Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency, ensuring each piece meets quality standards.
- Handle raw fish and seafood safely, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new sushi options and seasonal specials that excite our guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients and tools.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours.
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently and safely.
- Support catering events by preparing sushi platters that impress clients with their presentation and freshness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary setting, particularly with sushi or Japanese cuisine, is highly preferred.
