The Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for children, families, and staff.
This is a full-time position, the hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday!
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily school operations, classrooms, and staffing.
- Hire, train, support, and supervise teaching staff.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.
- Support teachers with curriculum, classroom management, and professional development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Communicate with families regarding school policies, concerns, and updates.
- Manage enrollment, waitlists, and classroom capacity.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records.
- Ensure health, safety, and supervision standards are consistently followed.
- Address staffing, parent, and operational concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with ownership/administration to support the growth and success of the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in an early childhood education setting.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, classroom practices, and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing regulations and requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of educators.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements for the position.
