Early Childhood Director

The Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for children, families, and staff.

This is a full-time position, the hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday!

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school operations, classrooms, and staffing.
• Hire, train, support, and supervise teaching staff.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.
• Support teachers with curriculum, classroom management, and professional development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Communicate with families regarding school policies, concerns, and updates.
• Manage enrollment, waitlists, and classroom capacity.
• Maintain accurate student and staff records.
• Ensure health, safety, and supervision standards are consistently followed.
• Address staffing, parent, and operational concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Work closely with ownership/administration to support the growth and success of the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working in an early childhood education setting.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, classroom practices, and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Familiarity with state childcare licensing regulations and requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of educators.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements for the position.
