Role Description The Early Childhood Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Hingham/ Norwell MA This role oversees our EGE programs 3 months to 5 years Old, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising and mentoring teaching staff, guiding curriculum implementation aligned with SELA’s immersion and project-based philosophy, and monitoring classroom quality and compliance with regulatory standards. The Director collaborates with families, manages enrollment-related matters, and supports ongoing communication about student progress and school initiatives. Additional duties include coordinating professional development, supporting school events, and working with school leadership to advance program goals and community partnerships.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Education/ Elementary Education, with experience in early childhood settings.
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development, including designing and evaluating developmentally appropriate, immersive, and project-based learning experiences.
- Demonstrated Educational Leadership skills, including staff supervision, coaching, and team building.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging with children, families, educators, and community partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in early childhood development, classroom management, and inclusive education.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized administrative practices, and adhere to state and local regulations for early childhood programs.
