This role is accountable for the environmental, health, safety, production, quality, financial, and cultural performance of interconnected processing assets operating within a highly regulated and competitive Gulf Coast industrial corridor.Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Louisiana Operations General Manager leads salaried and hourly teams across operations, maintenance, engineering, environmental, safety, and support functions. This leader ensures operational excellence while balancing short-term market demands with long-term strategic objectives.This role requires visible, values-based leadership, strong regulatory acumen, and the ability to unify multi-site operations under one performance vision.What will you do?Operational & Financial LeadershipEstablish and execute strategic initiatives to improve environmental, health, safety, production, quality, and financial performance across both facilities.Ensure production and reliability targets align with Mosaic business plans and customer commitments.Lead full operational and capital budgeting responsibilities, including forecasting, accrual management, cost control, and capital prioritization.Identify operational risks and implement mitigating strategies in a dynamic commodity market environment.Safety, Environmental, Process Safety & Regulatory ExcellenceChampion Mosaic's commitment to world-class safety performance and environmental stewardship.Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements in a highly regulated chemical processing environment.Serve as a visible leader in process safety management and risk mitigation.Lead crisis preparedness and business continuity planning, including hurricane readiness and Gulf Coast weather-related risk management.Multi-Site Organizational LeadershipLead and align salaried and hourly teams across two integrated facilities.Drive cross-functional collaboration among operations, maintenance, engineering, EHS, HR, and commercial functions.Develop succession plans and build a strong leadership bench across Louisiana Operations.Foster a productive, safe, inclusive, and professional culture.Continuous Improvement & ReliabilityStrengthen operational controls and drive disciplined execution.Advance reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.Promote data-driven decision-making and operational accountability.Community & Industry EngagementServe as a key representative of Mosaic within the St. James Parish community and the broader Louisiana industrial corridor.Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.Uphold Mosaic's reputation as a responsible employer and community partner.Leadership CompetenciesStrategic and systems thinkerDecisive and adaptable under market volatilityVisible and authentic leaderHigh regulatory and process safety awarenessFinancially disciplinedTalent developer and culture builderStrong communicator capable of aligning multi-layered teamsWhat do you need for this role?Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.Minimum 10-15 years of progressive operations leadership experience in heavy industrial, chemical processing, manufacturing, or related environments.Demonstrated experience leading complex operations with large hourly and salaried workforces.Experience managing operational and capital budgets.Proven ability to drive safety, environmental, and production performance in a regulated environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience leading multi-site operations.Experience in phosphate, fertilizer, chemical, or related commodity industries.Advanced degree (MBA, Engineering, or related field).Demonstrated experience leading in a Gulf Coast or similar high-intensity regulatory environment.Physical & Work EnvironmentFrequently required to work in industrial environments including outdoor conditions, variable temperatures, heights, and plant areas.Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirator.Occasional travel required.What's In It for You: An attractive base salary an annual incentive11 paid holidays each year401k with a company match and annual company contributionsPaid sick leave for when you need itA robust benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceOutstanding growth opportunities, both within Mosaic and for your skillset#LI-KM1
