Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to ensure a pristine environment at all times.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Use janitorial equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, mops, and scrubbers to deliver high-quality cleaning results.
• Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing to uphold the hotel's appearance standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning supplies, or furniture moving while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with a friendly attitude, demonstrating excellent customer service skills in line with hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles within the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning equipment is essential.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling procedures and SDS documentation.
• Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting when necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a safe working environment for all staff.
• Previous experience managing housekeeping tasks or hotel housekeeping management is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.75 - $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 32.0 per week
