Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their beverage and food orders in a fast-paced café environment
• Prepare a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, and light snacks following established recipes and safety standards
• Operate POS systems such as Square accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for change and receipts

Requirements

• Previous barista or food service experience is preferred, especially within cafés or retail food environments but we will train
• Registering members
• Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and sales transactions
• Experience in food preparation or serving in the food industry is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
