Data Analyst (Remote - Warren, MI)

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Data Analyst to help support their business needs.

The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior management, technical, and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of the database to the management system, or direct others in coding descriptions
• Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes
• Modify existing databases and database management systems, and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
• Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a preferred field, such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required
• 2-4 years of applicable experience required
• ASC certification is applicable, or other automotive certifications are helpful
• Knowledge of Dealer Fixed Operations
• Basic technical knowledge of vehicle repairs
• Organizational skills
• Experience with database technologies
• Knowledge of the ETL process
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated history of success
• Desire to work with data and help businesses make better data-driven decisions
  
  

Hours and Location:

• Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
• Perform onsite and electronic audits, 1 or 2 weeks on the road, then in the home office doing electronic audits, then back on the road, then back home to finalize audits
