Business Analyst (Hybrid - Warren, MI)

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Business Analyst to help support their business needs.

The main function of a business analyst is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as an analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Responsibilities

• Identify process improvement and waste reduction areas
• Global focus
• Help manage the implementation of all change requests and enhancements to the Global Warranty Management (GWM) System
• Managed the sustainability of the GWM system
• Raise/track/escalate IT tickets to correct identified issues, or implement enhancements
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required
• Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
• Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
• Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.
• Set up project and work breakdown structures.
• Establish and document business processes.
• Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
  
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, human resources, or a relevant field is required
• 0-2 years of related experience required
• Ability to work off-hours to support Global Business Partners as required
• Continuous improvement experience is desired
• Self-starter
• Automotive knowledge
• Vehicle dealership experience
• Knowledge of field service operations, after-sales
• Ability to manage unique and difficult problems and situations
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer focus
• Strong analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Hours and Location:

• Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
