What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Services Coordinator, Housing Authority position at The Mohegan Tribe of Indians Of Connecticut?
The Resident Services Coordinator supports the daily operations of Elderly Housing by serving as a point of contact for resident services and assistance. This role emphasizes resident well-being, coordination, and customer service while ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive living environment in compliance with applicable policies, confidentiality standards, and safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to use housekeeping supplies, equipment and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures carefully and handle sensitive materials with accuracy and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities in a service-oriented environment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and to manage difficult resident behaviors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Universal Precautions and Sanitation protocols, to include appropriate measures in the prevention of cross-contamination.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year housekeeping or facilities maintenance experience
AND
- One (1) year of senior living or retirement community experience, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, or continuing care retirement communities
OR
- One (1) year of healthcare support experience, including community health centers, outpatient clinics, home healthcare companion
AND
- Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy.
- Ability to lift/move 50 pounds[DH1] [LZ2] .
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity.
- CPR /AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certified or the ability to be certified within one (1) year of employment; maintains training as directed.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license from state of residence.
- Valid PPE endorsement required.
- Valid ServSafe Certification required (or must be obtained within two months of hire).
