What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Programs Counselor-In-Training (Seasonal) position at The Mohegan Tribe of Indians Of Connecticut?
Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent in this position assists the Recreation Program Counselors in facilitating all events and activities developed for participants of the seasonal recreation programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills as demonstrated through involvement with student government, extra-curricular activities, organized sports, etc.
- Understanding of group dynamics and conflict resolution
- Must be enrolled in High School
- Prior experience working with school-age children through babysitting, coaching, scouting, etc.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided evenings and/or weekends prior to the start of the program)
- Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy
- Must be between the ages of 15 (by May 31, 2026) and 17
- Must be a member of The Mohegan Tribe
