Summary of Job Description:
The incumbent is a working supervisor who is responsible for overall cleaning and conducting routine cleanliness inspections of tribally owned facilities and grounds. Provides direction, assignments, and supervision to EVS staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to use commercial cleaning supplies, equipment, chemicals, and chemical solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for a commercial office building
- Knowledge of Universal Precautions and Sanitation protocols, to include appropriate measures in the prevention of cross-contamination
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain equipment used in daily work
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including recordkeeping skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to read labels and instructions on cleaning products Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, including pushing/pulling, kneeling, climbing, crouching and reaching
- Demonstrated ability to work in high areas using both ladders and aerial lifts up to 40 feet
- Four (4) years of commercial housekeeping and/or environmental services experience in an office environment; and
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must complete downstream waste recycling training and best practice training
- Must complete Biohazard training
- Must complete Serve Safe training
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Ability to work in adverse conditions such as extreme cold and extreme heat, dust, noise, and wetness
- Ability to work as required for emergencies, snow/ice removal and special events
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule
