The Mitten Brewing Company – Saugatuck
The Mitten Brewing Company is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and hard-working individuals to join our support team. Our goal is to provide guests with the best beer and pizza experience in Saugatuck.
Part-time positions available through September, with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. Ideally, these positions will be as close to a 50/50 split as possible.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Preferred: 2 years of serving or bartending experience
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
- Consistently positive, hospitality-focused mindset
- Hardworking and willing to take initiative
- Team player who is versatile and adaptable
- Able to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use stairs frequently and lift up to 30 lbs
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties:
- Provide respectful, attentive service to all guests and coworkers
- Greet guests and help create a welcoming atmosphere
- Learn and confidently speak about food and drink menus
- Manage guest seating and waitlists using digital systems
- Answer phones, take orders, and assist with guest inquiries
- Use POS systems to process orders accurately
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Garnish, run, and expedite food orders
- Assist with stocking and maintaining kitchen/expo areas
- Complete cleaning, side work, and assigned tasks during downtime
- Support dish station and other areas as needed
