JOB RESPONSBILITES:
- Performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain strong inventory control practices, including proper labeling, storage, and rotation of materials.
- Assist with and support physical inventory counts as scheduled.
- Utilize and maintain records within the inventory management system.
- Pick and stage warehouse orders for internal departments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete accurate data entry related to receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issues.
- Manage the receiving dock, including unloading deliveries, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damage and accuracy.
- Handle, move and store materials, which may include food and beverage items, supplies, equipment and other warehouse inventory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and dock area.
- Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages or nonconformance to specifications.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Determine shipping methods, routes and rates for materials to be shipped.
- Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, invoices, purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Collaborating with Purchasing Manager, department heads, finance, and operations, to understand their purchasing needs, priorities, and challenges.
- To provide BIG Service to Team Members or guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
- Warehouse/Receiving and Inventory Control experience required.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Must be able to travel as required for meetings, conferences, race meets, and other business needs.
- Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, and copier.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- Must be able to move in and around the work area and warehouse throughout the entire workday.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to repeat the same movements.
- Must be able to engage and interact with all guests appropriately and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to successfully communicate on a regular basis with all co-workers, vendors, and guests both in person and over the telephone.
- Must be able to answer all inquiries and provide assistance and information in a professional and accurate manner.
- Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
- Must be able to work in environment where smoking is permitted and can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination
