Facilities Operations Technician (HVAC Focus):

Looking for a hands-on Facilities Operations Technician with a keen eye for HVAC maintenance and repair to join our dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site full time, directly contributing to a well-established institution’s facility management, starting immediately and lasting for six months with the potential for permanent placement.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our facility operations, diving into HVAC systems to perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs with precision. We seek someone deeply knowledgeable in HVAC, comfortable working independently, and committed to ensuring our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.

Required Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with HVAC maintenance and repair
• Strong technical skills related to facilities systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues swiftly
• Knowledge of safety protocols and proper handling of HVAC equipment
• Reliable and detail-oriented work ethic

Nice to Have Skills:

• Additional facilities or mechanical systems experience
• Basic electrical or plumbing skills
• Previous experience working in an institutional or educational setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications highly regarded
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, ideally 3 years focused on HVAC systems

Other Requirements:

• Must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday, 7 am - 4 pm EST
• Willingness to perform hands-on repairs and dive into the technical aspects of HVAC machinery
• Certifications such as EPA 608 or similar are a plus
