The Micar Company is currently seeking additional Class A CDL Drivers to join our transportation team in Decatur, Illinois.
About the role
This is a local driving opportunity. Drivers work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with weekends off. No overnight travel required. Home daily!
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and any issues encountered during delivery
- Deliver goods and materials to customers on time and in the correct condition
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order
- Follow traffic laws and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Operate forklift to load and unload trucks, possibly lifting heavy equipment
- Transport and organize parts/material around company grounds
Requirements
- Maintain all safety standards
- Commercial driving experience and a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Flatbed experience
- A clean driving record and a commitment to safety on the road
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight delivery deadlines

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range. The actual compensation offered will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, training, and licenses.
