The Micar Company is currently seeking Industrial Cleaning Laborers to join our team in Decatur, Illinois.
About the role
We are currently hiring for second shift positions only. The schedule is 4:00pm - 2:30am.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks including but not limited to floor care, industrial cleaning, buffing, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance.
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and sanitized.
- Handle waste disposal following proper procedures.
- Assist with porter and custodial duties as required.
- Operate forklift and skid steer.
- Promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards, using appropriate PPE, and looking out for both yourself and others.
Requirements
- Maintain all safety standards.
- Forklift and skid steer operation.
- Proven experience in a cleaning role.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices.
- Experience with buffing and floor care techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range. The actual compensation offered will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, training, and licenses.
