The Micar Company is currently seeking an additional Automotive Painter to join our team in Decatur, Illinois.
About the role
This position is a shop-based opportunity. The regular schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime available.
Responsibilities
- Prepare paint surfaces
- Ability to use paint equipment including but not limited to rollers, brushes, spray guns, mixers and air tools
- Operate forklift
- Knowledge with mixing product
- Autobody repair
- Fiberglass repair
Requirements
- Maintain all safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Heavy lifting required

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range. The actual compensation offered will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, training, and licenses.
