As a Prep Cook, you'll be the foundation of a successful service. From preparing fresh ingredients to maintaining an organized kitchen, your work helps ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities- Follow prep lists and daily assignments provided by the culinary team
- Label, organize, and stock ingredients for easy access and efficiency
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications
- Wash, chop, slice, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as preparing sauces, parboiling, and other food preparation duties
- Prepare simple menu items as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Properly store food and ingredients according to food safety standards
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Ability to safely operate knives, cutting tools, and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Culinary school training is a plus but not required
