Qualifications
Required:
- High School Graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
- Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B, with Air Brake Endorsement or obtains within 30 days of hire, and within two exam attempts.
- * Meets State of Ohio requirements to qualify for a CDL and maintains CDS in good standing.
- Demonstrated knowledge in patient registration, scheduling, and/or insurance processing.
- Familiar with data entry sufficient to input and retrieve data.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with patients of varying ages.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and have ability to problem solve.
- *MetroHealth will cover the cost of CDL training and exam(s).
- Six months to one year of patient scheduling and/or registration experience.
- Experience in mammography scheduling.
- Six months to one year of commercial driving experience.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- Bilingual.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
- May sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity to operating mobile health vehicle.
- Ability to hear normal voice sounds.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Position involves exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures and road conditions, fumes, and/or loud noises.
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
