Following the retirement of the current Head/ Director of the Methodist Academies and Schools Trust Service, we are seeking to appoint a new person to this important role, to build on the work of previous post-holders over many years. This is a wide-ranging role, requiring considerable educational expertise, with very significant national responsibilities for all Methodist/Methodist-Anglican state schools, and for representing the Methodist Church state schools with national bodies (such as Ofsted/SIAMS) and with government.

About You
You will have significant school senior leadership experience, a strong commitment to ethical leadership and Methodist values and ethos, the ability to offer outstanding strategic leadership, wide experience of school governance and legal oversight, and the ability to advocate for Methodist schools amongst a wide variety of stakeholders.

- strategic liaison and advocacy with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and governmental bodies.
- supporting ethical school leadership including training and capacity building.
- guardian of religious character and ethos including curriculum and inspection support.
- working with the wider Methodist Church on education and schools strategies and issues.
- governance and legal oversight including academisation.
About You
