Build Something New. Make a Lasting Impact.

$79,000–$105,000 annually based on education and experience

As an innovative community health organization, our team is launching a brand-new Mobile Mammography Program designed to bring breast cancer screening directly to rural and underserved communities throughout Kitsap County. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Mammography Technologist to help build, shape, and lead a new service line from the ground up.

If you're looking for more than a traditional mammography position—and want autonomy, meaningful community impact, and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy—this could be an excellent fit.

Position Highlights

  • $79K–$105K annual compensation, based on education and related experience
  • Full-time or part-time opportunities
  • Flexible 8- or 10-hour shifts
  • Monday–Friday scheduling with extended scheduling flexibility
  • No call
  • No regular weekend requirements; occasional community outreach events may occur
  • Brand-new mobile mammography unit and program
  • Significant autonomy to develop workflows and operational processes
  • Opportunity to become the technical subject matter expert for the program
  • Potential to help supervise future Mammography Technologists as the program grows
  • Extensive organizational, fleet, IT, scheduling, outreach, and administrative support
  • Consultant support available during the program launch

What You'll Do

This role combines hands-on mammography with technical, operational, quality, and regulatory leadership.

You will:

  • Perform high-quality screening mammograms and provide compassionate patient care
  • Ensure proper positioning, imaging technique, compression, and radiation safety
  • Coordinate mobile unit scheduling, logistics, workflow, and site setup
  • Help establish and refine program workflows
  • Lead QA/QC processes and maintain quality documentation
  • Ensure MQSA and state/federal regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with radiologists, medical physicists, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
  • Support inspections, audits, licensing, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and service
  • Support community outreach and screening initiatives
  • Help bring mammography services to communities that currently have little or no local access

The mobile unit will rotate through communities such as Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Key Peninsula, with additional expansion planned as the program grows.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't simply a position on an established mammography team. You'll be helping launch the program itself.

The organization has invested in new equipment and is committed to expanding access to breast cancer screening. A consultant is currently helping establish the program, and the new technologist will have the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day technical operations and help shape how the program functions long-term.

You'll be supported by fleet operations, IT, clinic staff, scheduling, customer service, community outreach, radiologists, medical physicists, and administrative teams.
