What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRMA position at The Meadows?
Available Shifts:
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Wednesday-Saturday
The Meadows is a small 16 bed residential care facility in Old Town, Maine that offers a comfortable, convenient and gracious assisted living environment and support services promoting maximum independence for its residents. Resident services include individual care planning, assistance with activities of daily living, nutritious meals, assistance in securing medical attention, provision for home health and other services, arranging social and leisure activities, and more.
We are seeking a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA)to join our dedicated staff at the Meadows in Old Town.
The CRMA administers medications as well as provides personal care to residents according to their needs and service plan; assistance with housekeeping, laundry services, and food service.
The perfect candidate will:
- Maintain a CRMA certification. Willing to assist candidate to get certified.
- Hold a High School diploma or GED.
- Have at least one year experience providing personal care and housekeeping services to older persons preferred.
- Contribute to a positive work environment, interacting with staff, public and others in a positive, productive manner, using tact and discretion.
· Pass a background check and maintain a record that is free from criminal convictions for crimes against persons, including, without limitation, theft, abuse, neglect or sexual misconduct.
· Pass a State of Maine background check as required by DHHS.
Additionally, as a term of employment as a CRMA at The Meadows, each CRMA takes a turn in rotation of Emergency Shift Coverage. This includes 24-hour availability for coverage for one week from Monday 7:00 AM to the following Monday at 7:00 AM to cover any shift left vacant because of emergencies. There is weekly stipend for this duty.
