We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Sitework Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience estimating heavy civil and commercial site development projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Civil Sitework Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, municipal, and private site development projects. This position will work closely with project managers, operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop winning bids while maintaining company profitability.
Job Summary
Responsibilities
● Review construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
● Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for:
- Earthwork
- Clearing & Grubbing
- Demolition
- Underground Utilities
- Storm Drainage
- Water & Sewer
- Erosion & Sediment Control
- Concrete
- Asphalt
- Site Improvements
● Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
● Develop detailed cost estimates including:
- Labor
- Equipment
- Materials
- Hauling
- Subcontractors
- Overhead
- Profit
● Visit project sites for pre-bid investigations.
● Attend pre-bid meetings when required.
● Identify project risks and opportunities.
● Prepare bid proposals and bid packages.
● Work with project managers during project turnover.
● Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
● Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methods.
● Track awarded and lost bids for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
● 3 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
● Strong understanding of:
- ○ Mass grading
- ○ Earthwork
- ○ Utilities
- ○ Site development
- ○ Erosion control
● Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
● Experience with quantity takeoff software preferred.
● Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
● Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
