Job Title: Technical Assistant
Department: McGowan Wholesale – Small Market Enterprise
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Responsible for providing data processing support for underwriters and associate underwriters. Duties include providing service in working with an underwriting team to understand renewal programs and create/manage data records within the Agency Management System as appropriate. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with underwriting activities, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with business unit customer service focus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Production position that provides support to Underwriters and Brokers.
· Effectively communicates with clients and carriers including but not limited to ordering loss runs and requesting renewal information.
· Work with the Underwriter or Broker to request renewal information, issue binders, post the invoice, and process any needed endorsement.
· Prepare statement of values and loss analysis.
· Organize follow-ups on specific account needs.
· Insurance policy issuance and endorsement issuance for binding authority companies.
· Obtain/maintain PA Producer license
· Other duties, projects, task, and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (preferred)
· 1 year(s) of customer-facing experience
· 1-2 years of office experience (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week.
