Join our dynamic team as a Virtual Middle/High School Math Tutor! This engaging role offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing personalized math instruction to middle school students. Duties
- Deliver live, interactive tutoring sessions focused on middle school math topics.
- Develop customized lessons and adapt instructional strategies using innovative learning technology tools to meet individual student needs.
- Guide students through PreAlgebra - Algebra concepts.
- Maintain an engaging virtual learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents (and other educators) to align tutoring goals with broader academic objectives and requirements.
- Enter lesson summaries detailing student progress and things to work on.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching middle school mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of the middle school mathematics sequence and willing to apply different methods to help with learning and engagement.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools for virtual instruction.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts effectively.
- Background in classroom experience is highly desirable..
- Training or previous experience working with students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD or other learning exceptionalities is a plus
- Passion for working with students and fostering an safe learning atmosphere.
