Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor to foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests via phone or in person, when nessecary.
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information, placing to-go orders, and taking reservations as needed
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and professionally
Skills
- Experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles, demonstrating strong customer service skills. We are willing to train the right candidate!
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Toast POS, Toast Tables, and Yelp Guest Manager.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
