The Maples is looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team!

What You’ll Do
As our Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat residents with a variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Responsibilities include:
- Complete speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each resident’s needs and goals
- Provide skilled therapy for dysphagia, communication disorders, cognitive impairment, and related conditions
- Make recommendations regarding diet textures, swallowing strategies, and safe feeding techniques
- Collaborate closely with nursing, dietary, physicians, therapy staff, residents, and families
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Educate staff and families on strategies that support communication, cognition, and safe swallowing
- Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely
- Support residents in maintaining or improving independence and quality of life
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible Michigan SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatrics, or dysphagia is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
- A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
