The Manor in Little Rock is currently accepting applications for experienced Certified Medication Assistants. The Certified Medication Assistants will focus on assisting residents to receive the right medications, at the right times, in the right form.
Positions Available:
- Rotating Day Shift 6a-6p-Every other weekend off!!
- Rotating Night Shift 6p-6a-Every other weekend off!!

DUTIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for proper medication dosage, medication monitoring and appropriate medication storage.
- Review facility medication times for scheduled medication assistance.
- Follow work assignments/work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
- Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.
- Participate in and give/receive the nursing report upon leaving or reporting for duty.
- Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
- Answer resident calls promptly.
- Measure and record temperatures, pulse, BP, and respirations (TPRs), as instructed.
- Inform the Nurse of any changes in the resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident's nursing notes
- Responsible for supervising floor staff during non-nursing hours
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a state approved course and is approved to administer oral and external medication required.
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant License
- CPR certification or the ability to obtain
- Prefer experience in the geriatric population in a long-term care facility, assisted living facility, or other related health care facility.
- Prefer experience with dementia.
- Must pass drug test & criminal background checks.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be empathetic, understanding, and enjoy working with geriatric residents.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors.
- Employee must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 20 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet
