Survey CAD Technician

Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Survey CAD Technician to assist with our projects in Canton, Michigan!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of various land surveying projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, DOT and construction surveys.
• Perform CAD drafting of survey plans and base maps using Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer (ORD) and related software.
• Process field data, manage survey databases, and contribute to QA/QC of deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate survey workflow.
• Support research of property records, deeds, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Maintain organization of project files, reports, and documentation.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
• 4 years of experience in land surveying, civil/survey design, or related technical field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data processing tools (e.g., Trimble Business Center, StarNet or similar).
• Ability to work independently or in a team and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
