Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas and refining existing recipes to enhance flavor and presentation.
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards to promote a safe dining environment.
• Support food service operations by efficiently managing meal preparation, plating, and timely delivery of dishes to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal timing, catering orders, and special event preparations.
• Demonstrate excellent knife skills, food preparation techniques, and culinary knowledge gained through restaurant or food industry experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a culinary setting, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience.
• Strong food handling skills with knowledge of food safety protocols.
• Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs.
• Proven ability in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
• Knowledge of menu planning, catering operations, and serving practices within the food industry.
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
