Service Technician
Lutes Property Services is currently seeking a qualified Service Technician.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, and versatile with a strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. As a service technician with Lutes Property Services, you will perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial facilities and equipment with a high level of autonomy.
Typical Duties:
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and perform adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on commercial facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the service manager.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
- Maintain an organized service truck with stocked parts for service work.
- Perform detailed cleanup of job sites upon project completion.
- Provides documentation of all work order details in mHelpDesk.
- Provides documentation of client interactions.
- Provides reports of labor and material estimates for upcoming repairs/projects. Ensures materials are on site prior to the job beginning.
- Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties in the field or shop as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Valid SC Driver's License
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic to calculate materials needed; measure materials
- Knowledge of electrical principles/theories
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and operations
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and operations
- Knowledge of lighting fixtures including those for emergency egress routes
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- Correctly applying methods, practices, and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair renovation and minor construction of buildings and utilities
- Available to work evenings, nights, and weekends while on-call
- Flexible to schedule changes relating to job priorities.
- OSHA guidelines regarding safety practices

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
