Onsite Position: Whippany, NJ (required to be onsite 4 days per week)
We have a client seeking aa highly motivated and experienced E2E QA Lead with a strong background in e-commerce and automation. The role involves leading and mentoring a QA team, defining and implementing E2E QA strategies, driving automated test suite development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of QA experience, with 3 years in a leadership role, and proven expertise in e-commerce processes, test automation tools (such as UI Path or similar RPA/dedicated test automation platforms), and Jira. Familiarity with AI concepts for QA improvement is also required.
1099 Contract Position for 9-12 months (timeline for FT conversion depends on current client business needs)
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as the QA Subject Matter Expert (SME) across projects, ensuring quality is embedded from design through release.
- Define and execute end-to-end QA strategy for e-commerce platforms and integrated systems.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Design test plans, test cases, and risk-based testing approaches aligned to business priorities.
- Drive development and optimization of automated testing frameworks and test suites.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Oversee defect lifecycle including logging, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking.
- Provide QA estimates, resource planning, and testing scope recommendations.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics, test results, and release readiness to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, including use of automation, AI concepts, and modern tooling.
Qualifications
Experience
- 7 years of Quality Assurance experience
- 3 years leading QA teams (minimum team size of 3)
- Strong experience testing end-to-end e-commerce workflows
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated test suites
- Hands-on experience with tools such as UiPath or similar automation platforms
- Experience with Jira or similar test and defect management tools
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
