The Longboard Sullivan’s Island is the second iteration of our celebrated coastal dining concept, first launched in 2015 on St. John, USVI. Echoing the island vibes of our flagship, the Sullivan’s Island location offers refined, seafood-forward fare alongside a vibrant bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired craft cocktails. Our setting blends laid-back Lowcountry charm with spirited Caribbean energy to create a relaxed, yet elevated dining experience. Our restaurants are more than places to eat— they’re destinations to experience. We bring the vibes, the views, and the hospitality to match. We’re seeking dynamic, self-motivated and hospitality-driven team members who are passionate about food, beverage, and creating exceptional guest experiences. BALANCED HOSPITALITY
The Longboard Sullivans Island brings a fresh, vibrant take on coastal Caribbean dining—where tropical, casual vibes meet elevated experiences. Our restaurants are destinations that blend music, sunshine, island flavors, and top-tier hospitality into unforgettable moments. We’re laid-back but dialed-in. Professional but never stuffy. Every guest is welcomed like family— and we take that seriously.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, energetic and thoughtful service at all times.
- Control the flow of service between the kitchen team, servers, and guests.
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
- Mark tickets according to Ballast’s standards and assist in the final garnishment of dishes.
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
- Communicate with Head Chef and BOH team about all kitchen-related issues, menu changes and updates relating to service.
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the servers/bartenders.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, health department regulations, and all federal/state/local laws.
- Always follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Speak fluently on ingredients, sourcing, allergens, menu, and preparations to help guide service staff.
- Master the art of multi-tasking; take cues from multiple team members and prioritize tasks on the fly in a high- volume environment.
- Collaborate effortlessly with your colleagues. Support your floor team and always lend hands when needed!
- Partner with management promptly to resolve any guest feedback or operational challenges.
- Prioritize professional, respectful, and open communication with all team members.
- Stay ahead of the rush. Prep your stations, maintain organization, and communicate effectively so you’re never caught off guard during service.
