Job Description
The Banquet Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for banquets, events, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume kitchen and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food for banquets, events, and other special occasions
- Follow recipes and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Ensure that all food is cooked and served at the correct temperature
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
