What You'll Do
- Deliver occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Help residents regain function, independence, and confidence
- Document treatments accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, providers, and families
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Improve lives every single day
- Beg people to communicate
- Wonder if leadership knows your name
- Fight uphill battles by yourself
- Feel like your clinical expertise doesn't matter
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Colorado COTA License
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of skilled nursing, long-term care, and rehabilitation services
- Ability to maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Can find a hearing aid with less than 5% battery remaining.
- Know that "just one quick thing" is never one quick thing.
- Have mastered the art of therapeutic encouragement.
- Can motivate a resident, educate a family, and complete documentation without losing your sanity.
- Understand that every successful discharge feels a little bit like winning the Super Bowl.
