Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and ensure that our award winning lodge and restaurant is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services, managing laundry and cleaning guest rooms, and providing outstanding customer service to clients. As the only Select Registry property on Moosehead Lake in Maine, our exemplary cleaning standards and protocols have won us many accolades. Housekeepers cross cover breakfast service to our lodging guests in the morning on occasion.
This is a Full-Time seasonal position beginning July 1, 2026-October 30, 2026.
Due to our small size we are unable to sponsor H2B workers.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest and common spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, stain treatment, and organizing linens and clothing with care and efficiency.
- Conduct cleaning activities such as carpet cleaning, polishing, and waxing to preserve the appearance and longevity of flooring.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks when needed, including inventory control of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues
Requirements
- 3-5 years proven experience in boutique hotel or luxury hotel roles.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and floor care methods including carpet and hardwood floor cleaning.
- Ability to handle laundry tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, buffers, and carpet extractors.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, stair climbing, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Prior experience in hospitality or custodial roles is required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years previous housekeeping experience in a luxury setting.
- Must have car for transportation.
