What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance/Engineer Lead position at The Lodge at Blue Sky?
SUMMARY
This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment. They are responsible for all technical and non-technical buildings and grounds repairs. Troubleshooting and/or repairs of all electrically ran motors and devices. Troubleshooting and/or repair of all H.V.A.C systems including, refrigeration devices, minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs. Completion of all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
- Leave all work in a safe and clean condition
- Use of all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors
- Gas fired equipment repair
- Troubleshooting and/or repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audio visual equipment
- Respond to all Guest Requests within fifteen-minutes of notification
- Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
- Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations
- Follow established safety procedures
- Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs
- Duties include emergency on call status
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment
- Hands on experience with electrical motors, H.V.A.C. systems, and refrigeration systems. Must be familiar with troubleshooting and/or repairs of such.
- Experience with power tools use and safety.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be able to work one to two weekend day shifts
- Must be able to work four 10-hour shifts per week
