About the role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimise end-to-end operations across a multi-site manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling performance, and delivering sustainable growth across production, supply chain, and continuous improvement functions. You will play a key role in shaping operational strategy while ensuring efficient execution across complex, high-volume manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all operational functions, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and continuous improvement
- Drive performance across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth targets
- Own and manage full P&L, with accountability for cost control, margin improvement, and operational efficiency
- Implement and embed Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Optimise production processes, capacity planning, and resource allocation across facilities
- Develop and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Partner with commercial and leadership teams to support strategic growth and customer delivery
- Oversee capital investment projects, operational transformation, and site expansions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Operations or senior operations leader within a heavy manufacturing environment
- Strong background in industries such as building products, automotive, data centre infrastructure, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations and large-scale teams
- Full P&L ownership with a track record of driving profitability and operational performance
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks
- Experience in high-volume, process-driven manufacturing environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
