We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle as a Custodian. This is an ideal role for someone who has one year of maintenance experience, who takes pride in their work, and who enjoys working independently.

Purpose:

Provides clean-up for all production areas ensuring a safe work place.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routing cleaning tasks such as washing windows, cleaning restrooms and break rooms.
• Sweeps production areas and office areas.
• Sweeps and bags aluminum chips in machine shop area.
• Maintains grounds by picking up debris including trash, tree or bush trimmings and removing snow from sidewalks.
• Maintains parking areas by keeping them clear of trash or debris.
• Crush and recycle cardboard.
• Empty trash receptacles and bags of trash for proper disposal.
• Assists Maintenance when needed.
• Have knowledge of MSDS process.
• Ensures the adherence to safety and health standards.
• Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds required.
• One year janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work schedule as assigned.
