Position Summary
The Lewis School of Princeton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to join our Nursing Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, Health and Wellness, this role supports the health and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, management of acute illnesses, and support for chronic conditions.
· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following school policy.
· Support individualized healthcare plans and emergency action plans under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
· Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
· Collaborate and confer with faculty, administration, parents/guardians, and outside providers to coordinate care.
· Educate the school community on health, hygiene, and wellness topics.
· Promote a healthy school environment through infection prevention, immunization compliance, and emergency preparedness.
· Assist with screenings and referrals related to student health needs.
· Serve as a resource for staff regarding health protocols, communicable disease prevention, and classroom accommodations.
Qualifications
· RN/BSN: Current NJ Registered Professional Nurse license required.
· CPR/BLS certification required. (American Heart Association training available upon request.)
· School or pediatric experience preferred but not required.
· Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Schedule and Hours
· Position follows the academic school year calendar including off-campus Field Trips and Summer Study.
Compensation
Hourly rate/salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
