Position Title: Long-Term Substitute – Certified School Nurse
Location: New Hope-Solebury Middle School, 184 W Bridge St., New Hope, PA 18938
Assignment Dates: Immediate start – January 16, 2026
Position Summary:
New Hope-Solebury School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Certified School Nurse to support student health and wellness in the Middle/High School during the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year. The Certified School Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment by providing direct healthcare services, maintaining student health records, and collaborating with families, staff, and outside providers.
Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania School Nurse Certificate (issued by PDE), or eligibility.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Previous experience with school-aged children preferred.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care, including first aid, emergency care, and medication administration.

Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with PA Department of Health requirements.

Conduct state-mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, growth, scoliosis, etc.).

Develop and implement individualized student health plans as needed.

Communicate with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student needs.

Promote overall student wellness through health education and preventative care.
Salary placement will be determined based on the NHSEA Bargaining Agreement.
