New Hope-Solebury High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long Term Substitute French Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an engaging and immersive learning environment for students while fostering a love for the French language and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding.
- Use a variety of instructional methods, technology, and resources to support student learning.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and enhance the French program.
- Implement IEPs, 504s, and GIEPs as required.
- Uphold classroom behavior expectations and district policies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Attend staff meetings, participate in professional development, and contribute to school community activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, French, or a related field.
- PA Teaching Certification in French (Grades 7-12 or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
- Experience or ability to teach French language and culture to high school students.
- Preferred candidates will have familiarity with the Spanish language to support cross-language connections and enhance collaboration within the World Languages department.
- Classroom management and technology integration skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned.
