Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Men's Outerwear Head of Design through all phases of line creation and execution.
- Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, prints, trims and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
- Collaborating with team members to create new concepts, make edits to the line
- Ensuring product agrees with business strategy
- Creating seasonal detailed sketches for new development
- Creating CADs, mood and color boards for presentations for presentations.
- Selecting fabrics and trims
- Managing design processes from conception through production.
- Ensuring development of products and production follows the needed timeline.
- Review and approve items such as lab dips, fabric swatches, protos.
- Attend fit sessions.
- Attend photo shoots.
- Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
- Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in apparel industry.
- High Proficiency in Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Knowledge and experience in Men’s Outerwear.
- Understanding of the specialty market and technical outdoor garments.
- Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, PLM, PDM.
- Strong fashion and color sense of the Men’s market.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills with high attention to product details.
- Ability to communicate and interact with all cross functional teams.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
