The Lee Group is hiring a hands-on 2nd Shift Lead for an industrial logistics environment in Williamsburg, VA. This key leadership role is responsible for managing all shift-related operations while ensuring the team meets production, quality, safety, and customer service goals. If you’re a natural leader with strong communication skills, forklift experience, and a commitment to operational excellence, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities of the 2nd Shift Lead:
- Lead all operational duties for the assigned shift, focusing on production efficiency, effectiveness, and team performance.
- Oversee day-to-day processes, ensuring quality, customer service, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with all Operational, Quality, and Safety Programs.
- Manage and schedule shift labor.
- Monitor and achieve production and quality goals and deadlines.
- Coach, train, and enforce safety procedures and safe working behaviors.
- Act as a hands-on leader capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Operate a forklift as needed in daily operations.
- Foster effective communication across a diverse team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements of the 2nd Shift Lead:
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role in an industrial, logistics, or production environment.
- At least 3-4 years experience operating a forklift.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Willingness to be hands-on and support production tasks as needed.
