Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Student and Alumni

Engagement Manager will manage and be responsible for all student engagement and alumni programs and services, including conducting student and alumni employment and education outcome data collection surveys, student and alumni communications, including the student and alumni feedback process. Additionally, they will work in collaboration with other Learning Source departments and divisions on additional cross-functional initiatives to further the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices that impact student engagement and success. This position builds and nurtures the growth of student and alumni communities critical for learning and career advancement. This work builds off best practices grounded in successful digital social networks, near-peer, and mentorship models, and adult and workplace communities of practice, which is aligned with the mission, vision, and core values of The Learning Source.

Position Description

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and be responsible for comprehensive student engagement programs and
services that engage students and elevate student voices, and effective operations of all
aspects within the student and alumni engagement program;


  • Create, support, and deliver culturally responsible programming targeting student
support and persistence for adult learners;
  • Develop long and short-term goals, oversee the management of day-to-day operations,
write departmental policies and procedures, programs, and long-range planning for all
student engagement programs and initiatives in collaboration with the COO and CEO;
  • Manage and oversee employment and college entrance survey for exiting students and
alumni;
  • Manage overall alumni engagement program with a focus on program value to alumni
and strong alumni connection; and
  • Collecting engaging student and alumni stories in partnership with Learning Source
marketing.
  • Create strategies to gather and maintain student contact information from registration
to program completion
  • Conduct regular career and postsecondary student information gathering sessions
  • Liaison with connecting students to workforce and wraparound programming
  • Work with CEO and COO to develop retention action policies
  • Perform student outreach to enhance student success & retention

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with an advanced degree in Student Affairs
strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in student affairs, alumni relations,
