Preschool Teacher – The Learning Experience Sterling

Location: Sterling, VA

Pay: $19–$22 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our preschool classrooms focus on building kindergarten readiness through structured play, hands-on learning, and strong social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a preschool classroom for children ages 3–4 in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Implement The Learning Experience’s play-based L.E.A.P. Curriculum, promoting early literacy, STEM concepts, social skills, and creativity.
• Maintain daily routines including learning centers, transitions, meals, and rest time.
• Build meaningful partnerships with families through daily communication and progress updates.
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers and center leadership to uphold licensing standards and classroom quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning space.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Childcare or preschool teaching experience required (center-based preferred).
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a CDA is a plus but not required.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• Must meet all Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
