This role focuses on creating engaging classroom experiences through structured routines, hands-on learning activities, and positive teacher-child relationships that help children build confidence and early learning foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines and activities for 2-year-old children
- Support language development, social interaction, and independence skills
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and classroom centers
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
- Communicate regularly with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates
- Ensure compliance with New York State childcare licensing requirements
- Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education required, or CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Prior toddler or twos classroom experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable, nurturing, and collaborative teaching approach
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
