The Learning Experience in Piscataway, NJ is seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Center Director to lead our high-quality early childhood education center. We are looking for a dynamic leader who is committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for children, supporting and developing teachers, and building strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the child care center.
• Ensure full compliance with all New Jersey child care licensing regulations and maintain licensing standards at all times.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of New Jersey child care licensing requirements and apply them effectively in the daily operation of the center.
• Prepare for and successfully manage state licensing inspections, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop teaching staff to promote a positive and professional work environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the community.
• Manage enrollment, staffing, scheduling, and center budgets.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and staff.
• Maintain high standards of curriculum implementation and educational quality.
• Ensure excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for prospective and current families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Child Care Center Director, Assistant Director, or in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of New Jersey child care licensing requirements is required. Experience successfully managing licensing inspections and maintaining compliance is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and child development.
• Ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain high-quality staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, or qualifications that meet New Jersey Director requirements.
