The Floating Teacher provides flexible support across multiple classrooms, assisting lead and assistant teachers in caring for children of various ages (infants through preschool). This role ensures continuity of care, maintains a safe and nurturing environment, and supports the daily operations of the center wherever needed.
- Assist in classrooms as assigned, including infant, toddler, and preschool rooms.
Support lead teachers with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, potty training, and rest periods.
Implement and reinforce lesson plans and activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Supervise and engage children in a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and staff members.
Communicate effectively with classroom teachers and administrators about children’s needs and classroom transitions.
Follow all licensing regulations, safety procedures, and center policies.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
Step into any classroom or role as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
